Sometimes something pretty can brighten our mood.

I thought I would change the pace a little today. I published this post on my other blog yesterday and thought you might enjoy it as well.

I was at Hobby Lobby last Saturday and it was busy!!!!

Women were buying greenery and artificial flowers by the cart full. Honestly, I don’t think saw one cart without flowers and greenery. I was a little bit of an exception but not entirely.

I bought what I wanted but put a lot back. I mean even at half-price, they’re not cheap. Not the really nice ones.

Next, I went to the Dollar Tree and thought I would challenge myself to see what I could come up with. And I’m quite happy with the result.

Did you notice the black plaid Washi tape around the top of the jar? I have since removed it.

The beautiful ribbon was 75% off at Hobby Lobby. The jar is a unique Mason jar that I had chalk painted on and then distressed. Working with Maon jars is one of my all-time favorite crafts. Actually, I love working with all glass bottles and vases, especially uniquely shaped or patterned ones.

Have you noticed something different in the last couple of pictures? I added some little sticky rhinestones to mimic water drops.

The little photograph you see in the open-frame is of my mom when she was a young woman. She died almost two years ago this spring and I miss her a lot. Still. She loved flowers.

If you decide to try some Dollar Tree flowers, bunch them close together to hide the stems and leaves which are usually way too bright. I thought about spray painting them but I was too eager to make this arrangement.

I haven’t decided if the flowers are staying here or not. But they sure give me a feeling of spring. I love watching the progress of flowers as they push up from the soil as each day they grow a little more. I remind myself that I can grow as well, that no matter how heavy the “dirt” is, with God’s help I can push through.

Enjoy this season. It’s full of hope and promise and change.

God bless and I hope you have a good day.
